How to Make the Perfect Hamburger

Instructions

Prepare the meat: Ask your butcher to grind a mixture of fresh beef cuts with 20% fat. Gently mix the ground beef with a little salt and pepper.

Shape the patties: Form thick patties (about 2 cm) and gently press them. There is no need to over-press, otherwise the patties will be tough.

Cooking: Preheat a plancha or heavy skillet over high heat. Add a little oil.

Searing: Place the patties in the hot skillet and create nice sear marks on each side.

Doneness: Recommended cooking time: 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. You can use a meat thermometer to ensure the desired doneness.

Prepare the buns: Toast the buns in a dry skillet for a crispy texture.

Assemble the hamburger: Spread sauces on the buns, add lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheddar cheese, and beef patty.

Notes:

You can use Kaiser rolls or other buns according to your preference.

You can add additional vegetables, such as fried onions, mushrooms, jalapenos or sunny side egg.

You can serve the hamburger with fries, onion rings, or salad. Enjoy :)
